Price: $395 (includes dinner Friday evening, lunch and dinner Saturday, Sunday light brunch, plus snacks throughout the weekend. Hotel rooms are not included in the $395 workshop fee)
One of the most productive things we can do as writers is shed our fears and share our efforts. To that end, this gathering of about 20-25 writers offers a weekend of interactive workshops and quality instruction.
· Our prompt sessions provide a crash course on narrative craft, and how to engender a productive and positive creative process.
· Our 6-participant workshops offer the opportunity for you to share aloud up to 500 words of a work-in-progress for tailored feedback.
· “Feedback Mountain” provides real-time opportunities to revise your work forward during the presentation.
· “Writer’s Block Workarounds” offers an actionable discussion on how to avoid writer’s block and inspire consistent productivity
· Query Corner addresses the challenges of submitting your work for publication. (This event includes insightful critiques of participant’s queries, for those who are willing to share.)
· Our “Open Mic Openings” event gives you the opportunity to read aloud the opening of your essay, novel, memoir, or other work-in-progress for appreciation and rapid responses.
The Write-Away also includes other sessions that will serve you every step of the creative process, from your first “rehearsal” drafts through final revisions. The ultimate goal of the Write-Away…to help you write more, write better, and be happier!

For those of you who need to book a room during our Write-Away, The Hotel Coolidge in White River Junction, VT (where all workshops, meals, etc. will be happening) is a good option. To assure availability, please make your reservations as soon as possible, and if you need an early check-in, let Judith know. Note the Hotel has free parking for overnight guests. (For day guests, there is a free municipal lot directly across from the hotel.)
